SPICY WAFFLES WITH SAGE AND CHEDDAR CHEESE

We’re all used to waffles being a sweet treat. However, this keto recipe for Spicy Waffles with Sage and Cheddar Cheese has changed all that! These waffles are not just a savory dish on their own, but a great base for any sandwiches!

The most important thing about the baking process is that you don’t put too much batter in the waffle iron! It will be quite thick, so don’t overdo it.

Ingredients :

Coconut flour 120g

Coconut milk 180 ml

Cheddar cheese 90g

2 Eggs

Water 50 ml

Baking powder 3 tsp.

Sage powder 1.5 tsp.

Garlic powder and a quarter teaspoon

Salt to taste

Step 1
In a deep bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and all seasonings.

Step 2
Add the liquid ingredients and stir until the batter is smooth.

Step 3
Grate the cheese into the batter and stir again.

Step 4
Preheat your waffle iron. If it is not non-stick, grease the surfaces with coconut oil.
Place the batter, close the lid of the waffle iron and fry for 4-5 minutes.
When the steam stops coming out of the waffle iron, try opening the top – if it comes off easily, it’s done!
