KETO MEATBALLS BAKED IN ITALIAN STYLE

On a keto diet we all miss Italian food, but with this keto recipe there is a chance to dive back into the world of pizza and pasta flavors! Even though we will be making meatballs)

The meatballs are made with Italian herbs and thickly topped with tomato sauce and mozzarella!

Ingredients :

Ground beef 500g

Tomatoes 300g

Grated mozzarella 50 g

Red onion 50 g

Tomato paste 2 tsp.

Garlic clove 2 pcs.

Italian herbs to taste

Salt and pepper to taste

Method cooking
Step 1
In a large bowl mix ground beef, Italian herbs, salt and pepper.

Step 2
Roll into 16 balls of meatballs.

Step 3
Fry over medium heat until meatballs are light colored

Step 4
Place the freshly juiced tomatoes, red onion, garlic and tomato paste in the pan. Stir thoroughly and simmer for 10-15 minutes.

Step 5
Place meatballs in a casserole dish and pour tomato sauce over them.

Step 6
Spread the mozzarella evenly. Then wrap the foil tightly on top and bake in a preheated 180 C oven for 20-25 minutes.
Then remove the foil and bake for another 5-10 minutes until golden brown!
